He is survived by: his significant other Peggy Meyer; his daughters, Diane Ruffus (Phil) of Maryland Heights, MO and Linda Douglas (Andy) of Quincy, IL; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Luke Ruffus, Landon, Harper and Sloan Douglas; and his sister-in-law Barbara Evernham of Long Island, NY. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (1810 McClintock Ave, Belleville, IL 62221). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church Endowment Fund.
