He was predeceased by: his wife Robertine "Bobbie"; his parents, Aurelian and Rose; his siblings, Aurele Boivin (Rita), Maurice Boivin and Lucille Kelley; his father-in-law Francis Xavier (Cecile); and his sisters-in-law, Lorraine Staunton (Michael) and Donaldine Bowman (Tully).

He is survived by: his children, Marc Boivin (Juanita), James Boivin (Cindy), Denise Heilig and Greg Boivin (DeAnn); his grandchildren, Josh Boivin, Megan Boivin, Jenna Boivin, Justin Heilig, Sarah Heilig, Jessica Heilig, Matthew Boivin, Bradley Boivin, Nick Boivin, Danielle Boivin and Melissa Schmitt (Matt); his great grandchildren, Mabry and Ian; his grandchild Brianne Jakes (Chris); his great grandchildren, Carter, Emerson and Callan; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Herberlee (Bud), Rachael Cyr, Jeanine Cyr, Marjorie Isaksen (Fredd), Patsy Devine (Wayne), Marilyn Wyman (Ken), Anne Boivin, Roger Cyr (Geralda), Jim Cyr (Betty), Gerard "Babe" Cyr (Joyce) and Raymond Kelley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
