He was predeceased by: his significant other Patricia Coyne (Pat); his father George (Claire); his siblings, Margaret Halpin, Mary Claire Basten (Jack), George Halpin (Arlene), Jeanne Canavan (Cletus), Michael Halpin and Kathryn Uihlein; and his nieces and nephews, John Basten, Carol Canavan, Michael Halpin, Jr., Patricia Halpin and Mark Halpin.

He is survived by: his children, Robert F. Halpin, Jr. (Bethany), Jill Halpin (Scott Addison) and Amy Halpin (Daniel Haag); his grandchildren, Robert F. Halpin, III (Caitlin), Daniel Halpin (Meghan), Michael Halpin, Aaron and Tobey Haag; his brother John Halpin; and his sisters-in-law, Marabeth Coyne (James) and Mary Ann Halpin. He is also survived by his three children; his five grandsons; and his many siblings.
