He was predeceased by: his parents, William S. Sr. and Louise M.; and his siblings, Karen Molloy, Richard Scheid (Diana) and William "Billy" Scheid, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn S. Scheid; his daughters, Kelley Euchner (Rod) and Kimberley Scheid; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Donahue (Brennan), Robert "Robby" Pees, Sydney Euchner and Lindsey Euchner; and his great grandchildren, Morgan Donahue and Reagan Donahue.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Renner Funeral Home - Belleville (120 N Illinois St, Belleville, IL 62220). A graveside service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery (2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to BJC Hospice or to the Air Force Aid Society.
