He was predeceased by: his father Oliver (Irene); his granddaughter Katie Jean Joellenbeck; and his brother-in-law William A. Hoelscher. He is survived by: his wife Marsha Joellenbeck; his children, Rebecca Forquer (James), Timothy Joellenbeck, Christopher Joellenbeck (Laura) and Rhonda Oliver (Charles); his grandchildren, Jason, John, Jeff, Jesse, Timmy, Hillary Rob, Justin, Cassie, Maggie and Liam; and his siblings, Norman Joellenbeck (Janet) and Patricia Hoelscher. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Jolly's memory to Katie Jean Joellenbeck First Responder Assistance Memorial (FRAM) or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
