He was predeceased by: his sisters, Kathleen Whiteley and Janet Docter. He is survived by: his wife Carol C. Schwartz; his children, Lisa Logan (Glenn), Angela Renner (Mark) of Belleville, John Schwartz and James Schwartz (Chris) of St. Louis, MO; his grandchildren, Alex Araiza (Mary), Amanda Araiza (Leo), Nate Renner (Rachel), Isabella, Enzo Schwartz, Henry, Oscar Schwartz, Kate and Kevin Logan; his great grandchild Louis Araiza; his siblings, Linda Noblitt (Terry) of Belleville, IL and Donald Schwartz (Betty Jo) of Boerne, TX; his siblings-in-law, Dr. Don Cocheba (Sharon) of Ellensburg, WA and Kaye Reuter (Joe) of Evansville, IN; and his mother-in-law Celeste Cocheba of Belleville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to St. Jude's Hospital.
