Rose Bennett Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rose Bennett (Belleville, Illinois), who passed away on November 28, 2025 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rose Bennett to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Flake (Rachel) and Rachel Flake; and her siblings, Roland Flake (Joan), Louis Flake (Eileen), Robert Flake, Joseph Flake (Doris), Dolores Howard (John) and Elaine Elrod (Dan).

She is survived by: her daughters, Julie Bennett and Karen Zeller; her son-in-law John C. Zeller; her grandsons, John M. Zeller and Daniel Zeller (Tiffany); her stepgrandchildren, Eve (Zeller), Knipp (Kevin), Amanda (Zeller) and John W. Zeller; her great grandchildren, Braiden Zeller, Marley Pierce, Vanessa Zeller, Izabella Knipp, Gavin Pierce and Cameron Zeller; her sibling's children, Donna Roper and Robert Flake; and her friend Shirley Matthews. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church (1910 W Belle St, Belleville, IL 62226). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or to St. Augustine of Canterbury Catholic Church.
