She was predeceased by: her husband Edward P. Bauer; her son Edward Bauer; her grandson Michael Bauer; her parent August (Rose); her siblings, Dolores Thouvenot, Raymond Scheibel (Gayle) and Ralph Scheibel; and her son-in-law Jim Maddox.

She is survived by: her daughters, Diane Welker (Tom) of Belleville, IL and Carolyn Maddox of Belleville, IL; her daughter-in-law Debra Bauer of Katy, TX; her grandchildren, Alison Jester, Steven Maddox (Stephanie), Jenny Burke (Adam), Jill Ranaivoson (Victor), Bryon Bauer (Amy) and Cristen Bauer; and her sister-in-law Rita Joyce. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
