It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen Bertelsman of Belleville, Illinois, who passed away on January 28, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Judy Ann Bertelsmann; his father Leo Joseph Sr.; his siblings, Leo Joe, Jr., Ralph Bertelsman and Mary Lee Roberts; his daughters, Annette Hente (Scott) of Shiloh, IL and Lisa Bertelsman-Kunkelmann of Freeburg, IL; his grandchildren, Dr. Kelsey Kunkelmann of Chicago, IL and Kaleb Kunkelmann of Belleville, IL; and his siblings, Judy Meirink (Dennis) of Odin, IL, Patty Sankus of Fairview Heights, IL and Billy Bertelsman of Belleville, IL. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, step grandchildren, and step great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Promedica Hospice.
