We announce the death of Susan I. Cox of Belleville, Illinois, born in Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on October 19, 2026, at the age of 71. Susan will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, John and Irene; and her sisters, Mary Lauterbach and Carol Heitzman-Walters. She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Cox; her children, Jared Sileven (Tasha), Sarah Meister-Vaz (Aaren Vaz), William Meister-DeMarco (Camille DeMarco) and Jordan Meister (Megan); her grandchildren, Seth, Lydia, Drew, Kylie, Serena, Spencer Rene "Penny", James, Eliah, Zeila and Zathen; her sister Bernadine Deininger; her brothers-in-law, Joseph Walters, Wayne Cox (DeLane) and James Cox (Janet); her niece Marie Cox; and her nephew Jarrod Cox.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church (405 Huntwood Rd, Swansea, IL 62226). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church (405 Huntwood Rd, Swansea, IL 62226).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to her family.
