He is survived by: his children, Lou Peters, Mickey Peters (Desiree) and Marcy Morris Peters; his grandchildren, Kailee Peters (Robert), Sam Peters, Nick Peters, Colton Peters and Madelyn Peters; his brother Thomas V. Peters (Sandi); his nephew Thomas Peters; and his niece Nicole Berron (Phil).

Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, Concordia United Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
