It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas A. Cahnovsky of Belleville, Illinois, born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, who passed away on June 8, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Thomas leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his father Dr. Richard R. (Mary Catherine); and his brother-in-law Maury Hjort Gary O'Hare. He is survived by: his siblings, Anthony Cahnovsky, John Cahnovsky (Linda), Paul Cahnovsky, Christopher Cahnovsky (Christa) of Maryville, IL, Carol Hjort, Jean O'Hare and Diane Heffernan (Mike). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and a great niece.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady Queen of Peace (5923 N Belt W, Belleville, IL 62223). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
