With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas Sheeler of Belleville, Illinois, born in Coulterville, Illinois, who passed away on September 30, 2025 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Thomas Sheeler to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his father William Curtis (Margaret); and his siblings, Franklin, Charles "Bud" Sheeler, Helen Hood (Roger), Marguerite Menefee and Joan Hurst (Rex).
He is survived by: his wife Betty Sheeler; his daughters, Jena Brown (John) of Chester, IL and Melissa Wilkerson (Andrew) of Belleville, IL; his grandchildren, Nathaniel Stewart (Sidney), Megan Stewart (Seth Buch), Drew Wilkerson and Evan Wilkerson; his great grandchild Aubree Stewart; and his sisters-in-law, Anna Marie Sheeler and Leola Sheeler. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Union United Methodist Church (721 E Main St, Belleville, IL 62220). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
