He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Canty and Matilda Canty; his wife Loretta Jane Canty; and his siblings, Ivy Buesse, Florence Belt, Juanita Peterson, Walter Canty and Ralph Canty.
He is survived by: his children, Vicky Kuthe of Belleville, IL, Sheila Bonn (A. Jay) of Belleville, IL and Bruce Canty (Bridgid Riebold) of Fairview Heights, IL; his grandchildren, Erika Fitzgibbon, Jason Bonn, Mandy Bonn, Zackary Canty and Paul Kuthe; his great grandchildren, Addison Fitzgibbon, Ava Fitzgibbon, Canyon Kuthe and Cedar Kuthe; and his close friend Betty Burrelsman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
