She was predeceased by: her husband Lester T. "Mike" Berkel; her children, Angela, Catherine, Donald and Andrew; her great grandchild Joshua; and her siblings, Margaret, Helen, Walter, Robert, James, Jerome and Richard.
She is survived by: her children, Patty Bussmann (Carl), David Berkel (Ginger Winston), Jean Kopp (Bill), Mary Pasbrig (Kevin), Jim Berkel (Deb), Joe Berkel (Denise), Rick Berkel (Katrina) and Susie Dinquel (Ken); and her brothers, Charles (Pat), David and Thomas Vander Pluym. She is also survived by many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren.
