He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Cempura and Jane Cempura (Kopra); his sister Jane Cempura Voss; his parents-in-law, Clyde and Nora Regan; his siblings-in-law, Michael, Larry, James, Tim Regan and Margaret Regan; and his nephew Michael Voss.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Cempura (Regan); his son Walter M Cempura (Colette); his grandchildren, Christopher Cempura, Anna and Corinn Yoder; his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Bain (Pete), Kari Dimon (Cain), Paul Voss (Mary) and Mark Voss; and his siblings-in-law, Patrick Regan (Alice), Daniel Regan (Liz), Kathleen Johnson (Bob), Diane Regan, Elaine Eyre (Tom) and Bridget John (Chris). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, great nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fairview Heights, the East Side Heart and Home Family Center in East St. Louis or Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Illinois.
