He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland (Clara) and Richard. He is survived by: his son Nicholas J. Richard; his sisters, Shirley Childress (Mark) and Joan Wilhelm (Thomas); and his nieces, Cheryl Childress and Holly Childress (James Pruett).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in the form of masses to St. Teresa Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.
