She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Edward Lanter; her son Wayne Lanter; her parent Polk (Agatha); her son-in-law Bob Leveling; and her siblings, Raymond Broussard, David Broussard and Jeanette Bradley.
She is survived by: her children, June Herschbach (Richard), Michael Lanter, Steven Lanter (Vicki), Barbara Leveling, Kevin Lanter (Cathie) and Gregory Lanter (Marivie); her daughter-in-law Patty Schilling (Al); her siblings, James Broussard (Sandy), Kay Broussard and Marie Kennedy; and her sister-in-law Joann "Susie" Lanter. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter's Cathedral Catholic Church (200 W Harrison St, Belleville, IL 62220). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Cathedral Catholic Church or Food For The Poor.
