He was predeceased by: his wife Sharol. He is survived by: his children, Kevin Rice (Denise) of Bartow, FL, Alison Rice (Harvey Phillips) of Jacksonville, FL, Patrick Rice (Corina) of Jacksonville, FL, Karla Ambos (Dieter) of St. Louis, MO, Laurie Boswell (Michael) of Belleville, IL and Thomas Veath (Beth Kamp) of St. Louis, MO; his grandchildren, Katherine Arce (Marco), Elizabeth Boswell, Blake Veath, Grant Veath, Riley Phillips and Ethan Rice; his great grandchildren, Hannah Lane and Chloe Rice; his sister Lynn Foster (Mark); and his niece Meredith Carl (Chris).

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Henry's Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, or to the Diabetes Association.
