He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton William Simon and Elizabeth Simon (Albers); his brothers, Edward and William Simon; and his former wife Dianna Simon.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Simon (Thies); his daughters, Tabitha Simon, Lori Perkins (Dave Syverson) and Jen Effler-Leveille (George Leveille); his granddaughter Alexis Perkins; and his siblings, Anton Simon (Linda), David Simon (Jackie) and Mary Beth Simon. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends he loved.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home (218 W Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
