We bid farewell to Clare Coots of Belvidere, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 27, 2026 at the age of 76. Clare touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin W. "Stubb" Coots and Esther J. "Dolly" Coots; and his siblings, Melvin "Sonny" Coots and Kathleen "Kathy" Herzing. He is survived by: his daughters, Amber Youngman, Chelsey Coots and Brianne "Breezy" Contreras; his sons-in-law, Jose Contreras and Erik Youngman; his granddaughters, Arianna Contreras, Anika Youngman, Adilynn Contreras, Tessa Youngman and Fiona Youngman; his sisters, Mary Alice "Sam" Larson and Phillis Herzing; and his pets, Meko and Evie.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Belvidere Cemetery (1121 N Main St, Belvidere, IL 61008). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Belvidere VFW Hall (1310 W Lincoln Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008).
All memorial contributions and gifts will be dedicated to supporting the creation of a golf memorial in the Belvidere area.
