He was predeceased by : his grandfather Leland Smith; his cousins, Andrew Smith and Isabel Smith; his grandparents, Caroline and Edward Chapman; and his aunts and uncles, Russell Grant, Charles, Peggy York and Donna Schultz.

He is survived by : his mother Liz Smith (Chapman); his wife Tonya Schultz; his children, Katie Smith, Nate Smith (Trinity Livingston), Gabe Smith, Jamie Aiken and Jordan Aiken; his father Larry; his sister Clair Hankes (Bob); his granddaughter Lydia Armour; his godparents, Connie and Ron Smith; his grandmother Ramona Smith; his parents-in-law, Robert and Tammy Schultz; his sister-in-law Jennifer Mattoon (Tom); and his close friends, Bobby Smith, Erik Erickson, Jason Snapp, Dan and Christine Dein. He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces; nephews and cousins.
