It is with sadness that the passing of Florence Thompson of Belvidere, Illinois is shared. Florence, born on August 9, 1947, passed away on September 24, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Sargent and Marshall Sargent; her former husband Howard "Bud" Standish of February; and her siblings, Marshall Sergeant and Margaret Sergeant.
She is survived by: her husband Bob Thompson; her children, James Standish (Janelle), Debra Gray (Daniel), Brian Standish (Shelly), Bill Thompson (Chris), Dan Thompson (Tammy) and Bobbi Mahley (Kevin); her brothers, Charles Sergeant (Debra) and Bill Sergeant (Sue); and her sister-in-law Barb Sergeant. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Highland Garden (9800 IL-76, Belvidere, IL 61008).
