He is survived by: his wife Barb Sloan (Baader); his daughters, Cassie McDonald (Jamie) of Dubuque and Kristin Janisch (Ryan) of Sycamore, Illinois; his grandchildren, Shea, Liam, Finn McDonald, Layla, Grady and Libby Janisch; his brothers, Frank Sloan and Dan Sloan (Mary); and his siblings-in-law, Ann Bang (Bruce), Joan Baader, Connie Baader, Dan Baader (Janida) and Mark Baader (Robyn). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family to purchase a memorial park bench and to establish an award at Belvidere South Middle School in honor of Mr. Sloan.
