It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Mc Kenzie of Belvidere, Illinois, who passed away on July 15, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Johanningsmeier and Martha Johanningsmeier (Fiebranz); her former husband Ronald Carlson; her husband Richard McKenzie; her children, Mike Carlson and Ronda Walters; and her granddaughter Jennifer Carlson.

She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Stassi (Joe), Cindy Saunders and Valerie Gunn; her sister Nancy Hollingsworth; and her close friend Sandi Carlson (Lloyd). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Garden Prairie United Church of Christ or to the family.
