Thomas R. Knabe Obituary
In loving memory of Thomas R. Knabe of Belvidere, Illinois, who departed this world on December 10, 2025 at the age of 83. Thomas leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Knabe and Evelyn Knabe (Werhand); his brothers, Timothy and James Knabe; and his sister-in-law Darlene Knabe.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Knabe; his children, Thomas Knabe (Laura) of Poplar Grove, Susan Knabe of Belvidere, John Knabe of Loves Park and Andrew Knabe of Poplar Grove; his grandchildren, Alexandra Anderson (Derek), Nicholas Knabe (Morgan), Autumn Helfvogt (Gary), Elliette, John Griffin, Austin and Emmie Knabe; his great grandchildren, Chesney, Memphis, Lace Anderson and Ada Helfvogt; his brother Terry Knabe of Denver, CO; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Knabe of Rockford. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (4401 Highcrest Rd, Rockford, IL 61107). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Tom's name to the Poor Clare Colettine Nuns of Rockford.
