It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Stahler of Bement, Illinois, born in Tuscola, Illinois, who passed away on April 26, 2026, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin W. Stahler and Lydia Combs Stahler; and his brother John Stahler. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Blake Bassett (Jessica) of Tuscola and Jesse Bassett (Annalysa) of Villa Grove; his siblings, Scott Stahler (Linda) of Bloomington, Junior Stahler of Charleston, Mark Stahler (Nikki) of Tuscola, Mike Stahler (Sharon) of Tuscola, Connie Jo Lewis (Don) of Tuscola, Trish Miller (Brad) of Eldridge, IA and Margie Escontrias (Eddie) of Hampton; and his close friend Doug Huber. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
