With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lela June Hamilton of Bement, Illinois, born in Wever, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Lela left this world on January 4, 2026 at the age of 96, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Edgar Lewis, Sr. and Avis Lela Lewis (Sheppard); her siblings, Roy, Sherley, Harry, Dean, Dorothy and Verna; her daughters, Linda Kowal (Tom) of Denver and Barbara Stiehl of Urbana; and her son-in-law Robert Stiehl.
She is survived by: her husband Earl Olan Hamilton; her granddaughters, Janelle Nelson-Gardner (Issac), Jessica Kowal, Emily Stiehl (Brian Ziebart) and Melanie Rosin (David); and her great grandchildren, Beckett Nelson-Gardner, Lydia Nelson-Gardner, Zachary Rosin, Theodore Ziebart and Sophie Ziebart.
