He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank L. Buchanan and Isis Buchanan (Jones); and his daughter-in-law Toni Bargman. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Buchanan of Bement; his children, Kevin Buchanan (Rhonda) of Monticello, Michael Todd Buchanan of Bement, Christine Rittman (Eric) of Villa Grove, Jon Bargman of Monticello and Joseph Andrew Buchanan (Tiffany) of Ivesdale; and his brother Jackie Buchanan of Monticello. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home (215 E Washington St, Monticello, IL 61856). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, DeLand American Legion, Disabled Veterans of Decatur, or the Wounded Warrior Project.
