She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Benda and Mary Benda; her husband Edward Steininger; her brother Frank; her grandson Matthew Francis; and her sons-in-law, John and Dean.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Ann Payton-Howell (Geoffrey Grant), Carole Fitzpatrick (late John), Barbie Acosta (Al), Margie Jimenez (Dan), Eddie Steininger (Linda), Cindy Limjoco (Chuck), Patti Steininger (Terry Rahl), Bill Steininger (Lisa), Tom Steininger (Jennifer) and Rich Steininger (Abigail Bosco).
