With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Philip A. Dienethal Sr. of Bensenville, Illinois, who passed away on July 28, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Rita Dienethal; his parents, Edwin Dienethal and Evelyn Dienethal; and his brother Edwin Dienethal. He is survived by: his children, Philip Dienethal Jr. (Patty), Brent Dienethal (Terri) and Diana Behnke (Rich); his grandchildren, Patrice Sherer (Scott), Natalie Dienethal, Lauren Williamson (Phillip), Caleb, Joshua, Aaron Dienethal (Katie), Rich (Renee), Michael (Caroline), Matthew Behnke (Lynda) and Megan Millar (Todd); his great grandchildren, Emma, Scotty, Kate, Phillip, Mia, Jack, Corbin, Chance, Charleigh, Dylan, Isabella, Xander, Austin, Shelby, Madelyn, Brooklyn, Jolene, Lainey, Gunner, Evelyn, Cash and Scarlett; and his brother Kenneth Dienethal. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Knollcrest Funeral Home (1500 S Meyers Rd, Lombard, IL 60148). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, are appreciated.
