She was predeceased by: her husband Lowell; her parents, Oliver J. Edwards Sr. and Marie J. Edwards (Vanek); her brother Buddy; and her grandson Oliver.
She is survived by: her children, Jon L. Harber (Edna), David O. Harber (Susan) and Nancy Harber; her grandchildren, Violeta, Andrea, Benjamin and Monica; and her brother Oliver J. Edwards Jr.. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Ruth's honor to Boys Town, Boys Town, NE; WTTW public television, Chicago; the Bensenville Public Library; or the Bensenville Garden Club Scholarship Fund.
