Bill Tasky Obituary

We announce the death of Bill Tasky of Benton, Illinois, who passed away on July 15, 2026, at the age of 85. Bill will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Duke Tasky and Opal Tasky (Hall); his wife Nancy Elaine "Shorty" Moore; his children, Terry Lynn Tasky and Bruce Allen Tasky; his brothers, Onnie Joe Tasky and Duke Lee Tasky; his son-in-law D. T. Richardson; and his brother-in-law Mark Thompson.

He is survived by: his children, Kim Mandrell (Mike) of Benton, Christine Richardson of Benton and William David Tasky of Portsmouth, Virginia; his grandchildren, Heather Young (Keith) of Benton, John Tasky (Heather) of Du Quoin, Lacey Cooksey (Andrew) of Benton, Michael David Tasky (Hillary) of Virginia, Sabrina Tasky of Portsmouth and Damian Parker (Amanda) of Tennessee; his great grandchildren, Alex, Jace, Grayson, Dexter and Adylynne; his sister Donna Thompson of Peoria; his half-sisters, Linda Knapp of Benton and Cindy Eldridge (Danny) of Benton, Illinois; his siblings-in-law, David Cummings (Patty Gray) of Benton and Mary Jane Tasky of Benton; his nephew Jarad Cummings; and his great-niece Aerobella Breedwell-Cummings. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews and several friends.
