We announce the death of Deronda Gay Richardson of Benton, Illinois, who passed away on September 25, 2026, at the age of 72. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dales Avery and Myrtle Lorene Kern (Storey); and her brother Greg Kern. She is survived by: her husband Gary Richardson; her son Jeremy Richardson (Janee); her grandchildren, Dailus Avery Lane Richardson (Sydney) and Laindree Neve Lynae Richardson; and her great grandchild Finn Avery Lane Richardson (Banx Lane Richardson).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Pate Funeral Home (301 S Main St, Benton, IL 62812). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home or through the Go Fund Me that has been set up to help with the funeral costs.
