He was predeceased by : his parents, George Simpkins and Mary Francis Simpkins (McCarthy); his stepdaughter Norine Roche; his father-in-law Dave Rogers; and his brother-in-law Bobby Rogers.
He is survived by : his wife Janice Simpkins of Benton; his daughter Cristy of Chicago; his stepchildren, Richard David Roche of Wisconsin, Joseph Roche of Crown Point and Michelle Rogers of Mishawaka, Indiana; his nieces and nephews, Kathy, Lisa, Kandice, Elaina, Hershel, Michael and Alan; and his pet Shadow. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
