Herman leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Herman’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Herman will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Haack and Dorothy Haack (Zimdars); and his sister Carolyn Haack. He is survived by: his wife Isabelle Haack (Dowding) of Benton; his children, Joy Salamone (Chris) of Racine, WI, Brenda Haack of Galesburg, IL and David Haack (Erin) of Racine, WI; his grandchildren, Stephen DeFalco and Rebekah Boronski; and his great grandchild Nora.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Victory Baptist Church (1400 Samuel Rd, Carterville, IL 62918). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
