He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Grubaugh and Genevieve Grubaugh (Brooks); his wife Bonnie Jean Veteto; and his siblings, Tom Grubaugh and Beverly Moore.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Smith (Chuck Conner), Pam Wilson (Howard "Junior" Wilson), Randy Grubaugh, Jerald Grubaugh (Julia), Robert Grubaugh and Michelle Lampley (Marcus); and his grandchildren, Scott Smith (Beth), Kim Smith, Chad Wilson (Janet), Brad Wilson (Jara), Kenny Woodward, Paul Woodward, Nicki Whipple (Phil), Brandy Bateman (Nick), Maddy Lampley and Eli Lampley.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery (12740 Oddfellow Ln, Benton, IL 62812).
Memorials in Jerald's honor, may be made to the Benton Ministerial Alliance and will be accepted at Pate Funeral Home, 301 South Main Street, Benton.
