He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo V. Loyd and Mary Allene Loyd (Beavers). He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Anderson; and his children, Sherry Harrison (Richard) of Du Quoin, Richard A. Loyd II (Sarah) of Du Quoin, Scott Loyd (Kimberly) of Du Quoin, Philip Wilkerson of Benton, Kyle Wilkerson of Benton and Tippie Haarmann (Devin) of Salem, IL. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Searby Funeral Homes (130 S Washington St, Du Quoin, IL 62832). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Friends may make memorials to Friends of Fisher House in St. Louis, MO and will be accepted at the funeral home.
