Robert S. Rea Obituary

With solemn reverence, we commemorate Robert S. Rea of Benton, Illinois, whose life came to an end on May 25, 2026 at the age of 74, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, S. Jerome Rea and Mary Charles Rea (Farris); and his son Robert Jefferson Rea. He is survived by: his wife Brenda J. Rea; his daughters, Scarlett Kristen Rea Lyons (Dale Kenneth Lyons, Jr.) and Hilary Jean Rea Remm (Paul Michael Remm); his grandchildren, Adeline Grace Lyons, Emmalise Faith Lyons, Sarah Hope Lyons, Ariadne Rahveen Remm and Kai Nazareth Remm; his sister Mary Ellen Aiken (John D. Aiken); and his brother-in-law Mike Gould (Jody). He is also survived by several nieces and a great nephew.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bob's honor to the Franklin County Historic Preservation Society (can be mailed at PO Box 399, Benton, IL 62812) continuing the work and mission that meant so much to him throughout his life.
