“Dr. Marquez was one of my attending's in training at UIC. He had an authenticity about him that was so endearing and he taught me a lot of practical things that I use in my clinical practice regularly. He had a great sense of humor, and real compassion for humanity, but was realistic, too. I still think of one of his quips, which I can't repeat here, but he basically taught me to take the emotion out of it, and do the right thing for the patient no matter what. RIP, Dr. Marquez. Thank you.”
