He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Edward Thomas Sr. and Pauline Thomas. He is survived by : his wife Diane; his children, Michael Thomas, Cheryl Caputo (Tom) and Darleen Horvath; his grandchildren, Amanda, Jarrett Thomas, Sara Caputo-Williams and Eric Horvath; his great grandchildren, Dawson and Remington Brown; and his sisters, Dorothy Zukoski and Rosemary Majcen.
