It is with sadness that the passing of James D. Matthews (Berwyn, Illinois) is shared. James, born on December 1, 1935, passed away on October 20, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
James will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor James by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though James is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. James’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Donna; his son James M. Matthews (Brenda); his granddaughter Katrina Matthews; and his great grandchildren, Camille Matthews, Logan Greenwood, Anthony Greenwood and Chloe Wrage.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Linhart Funeral Home (6820 Cermak Rd, Berwyn, IL 60402). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
