He was predeceased by: his parents, Louise Thurmond and Almeta Thurmond Bronax; and his siblings, Maxine Bronax, Willie D Thurmond, Roosevelt Thurmond and Lewis Thurmond.
He is survived by: his daughter Anita Thurmond; his wife Linda Boyd Thurmond; his child Tracy Thurmond; and his siblings, Annie Mae Brown, Claudine Wilson, Sylvia Bronax, Christine Broadnax, Mary Ann Bronax, Robert Thurmond, Harry Thurmond and Tillman Thurmond.
