He was predeceased by : his father Arthur Dunham Evans; his sister Ellen Evans Arnold; and his mother Lucile Friese Evans. He is survived by : his wife Susan Ranker-Evans; his son Kyle Evans; and his stepdaughter Amanda Alberts (Alaina Alberts). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and countless friends and neighbors.

“My heart breaks at the news of the death of my good friend Steven "Beaver" Evans. I enjoyed his friendship, his love for his beautiful Dunham Manor and lifelong home town, Berwyn. Every time I traveled through town I stopped to chat and catch up, next time will have to be in heaven. Love you Beaver!!”
