He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Welch and Elsa Geraldine "Jerry" Welch; his wife Fleta M. Ward; his son Billy Adrian Welch, Jr.; his brothers, Stanley and Gayle "Red" Welch; his siblings-in-law, Delores "Dee" Welch and John "Mike" Fleming; and his son-in-law Gerald "Jerry" Winskie, Jr..
He is survived by: his daughters, Loretta "Lori" Winskie of Melrose and Susan Huff (Brian) of Bethalto; his grandchildren, Jarin Kenney (Michael), Jenna Bathurst (Brent), Jaime Dyal (Matt) and Hannah Huff-Nakamura (Brad); and his sister Jane Fleming of Worden. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
