As Charlene Amanda departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Charlene Amanda. Though Charlene Amanda may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Charles Nelson and Amanda Nelson (Wackerow); and her spouse Gale Halemeyer. She is survived by : her friends, Merri Stabenow (Steven) of East Alton, Jackye Wilson (Kerry) of Bethalto, Ralph and Erna Halemeyer.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (625 Church Dr, Bethalto, IL 62010). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. Matthew's Lutheran Cemetery.
