He is survived by: his children, Adam, Nathan and Audrey; his granddaughters, Lilian and Sami; his great grandchildren, Scarlett and Deacon; and his siblings, Bill Dettmers (Sandy), Pam Gass (John), Gary Dettmers (Denise), Paul Dettmers, Teresa Langford (Jim), Sue Mitchell (Steve), Mary Padmaraj (Raj) and Steve Dettmers (Crystal). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Marks Mortuary (633 E Lorena Ave, Wood River, IL 62095). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Bethalto American Legion Post 214.
