With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Elsie Mae Hays of Bethalto, Illinois, born in Alton, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Elsie Mae left this world on May 2, 2024 at the age of 75, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Lindell Ray and Leona C. Bollinger (Scherer); her husband Bill; and her siblings-in-law, Dennis Kelly and Barb Bollinger.

She is survived by : her son Todd Hays (Ashley) of Troy; her grandchildren, Camden Edward Hays and Delaney Grace Hays; and her siblings, Vickie Kelly of Bethalto, Roger Bollinger of Houston, TX and Gary Bollinger (Donna) of Cottage Hills. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 6th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home (727 E Bethalto Blvd, Bethalto, IL 62010). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 6th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and/or Back Stoppers. Keep Elsie's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
