He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard M. Demkey and Opal Demkey (Cruthais); and his wife Carol Ann Demkey. He is survived by: his children, Paula Ozanne (Eddie) of South Dakota, William Varble (Melissa) of Kentucky, Ruth Myers (David) of Edwardsville, IL, Michael Varble (Erica) of East Alton, IL and Melissa Harpole (James) of Colorado; and his siblings, Rodger Stritz of Bethalto and Rae Marie Demkey of Jacksonville. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
