He was predeceased by: his parents, Joyce Kathleen Richards (Arnold) and Allen Richards; his in-laws, Claude, Martha Bandy, Jimmy and Pauline Wells; his sister Debbie Kanofsky; and his brother-in-law Carl Bandy.
He is survived by: his wife Tammy Richards (Bandy); his daughters, Bethany Case (Josh) of Edwardsville and Emily Richards of Jacksonville; his granddaughter Elodie Case of Edwardsville, Illinois; his sisters, Sally Coleman (George) of St. Charles, Missouri and Diana Bouillon of Alton, Illinois; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Wright (Jim) of Edwardsville, Illinois and Jimmy Doty of Illinois. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Homes - Bethalto (727 E Bethalto Blvd, Bethalto, IL 62010). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
